该巷位于渝中区南纪门街道凉亭子社区，北至重庆干休所，南以南区路为界，东接中兴路，西至石板坡立交。此地依山而建、沿崖而上的街巷梯道，别具特色。在重庆开埠时期，因紧邻外国领事租界地曾作为高级住宅区域，到抗战时期，大批政府要员逐渐在此聚集居住。在这里，不仅能看到因地制宜的吊脚楼建筑，还能看到具有海派风格的石库门建筑及欧式教堂。6 D8 e! `" l8 Y6 G3 ^ a- A
2015年5月，重庆市政府正式批准《重庆市主城区传统风貌保护与利用规划》。山城巷被确定为全市28个传统风貌区之一，是渝中区下半城“母城”历史文化风貌带集聚区的重要组成部分。山城巷传统风貌区项目受到渝中区委、区政府、南纪门街道的高度重视。重庆永宏智造文化旅游有限公司受政府委托，进行山城巷项目的修缮、运营及管理。不同于老城发展推倒重建的做法，本次城市更新会在基于原有外轮廓不变的前提下进行建筑的立面更新，在景观上会可能保留老街的形制、肌理、空间环境。- G d/ z$ k6 j$ f I W" @5 F
May 2015, Chongqing Municipal government officially approved the Plan for the Protection and Utilization of Traditional Features of Chongqing Main Urban Areas. Shancheng Lane is identified as one of the 28 traditional style areas of yuzhong District, and is an important part of the "mother city" historical and cultural style zone gathering area in the lower half of Yuzhong District. Shancheng Lane traditional style area project is highly valued by yuzhong District Committee, district government and Nanjimen Street. Chongqing Yonghong Zhizao Cultural Tourism Co., Ltd. is entrusted by the government to repair, operate and manage the shancheng Alley project. Different from the demolition and reconstruction of the old town, this urban renewal will update the facade of the building on the premise that the original contour remains unchanged, and the shape, texture and spatial environment of the old street may be retained in the landscape.
