) T; y8 P) _4 D In this project, the solid wall becomes the symbol which represents the path towards memory and commemoration. The concept which represents the cornerstone of the project is a "rationalist snail", where the wall, made of travertine stone, unravels itself from the entrance to the end of the path and gently leads the believers towards the square at the end of it. The course of the path is thought like a scar, which symbolizes the persistence of memory; the stone wall verticality stands for the comparison between past and present.8 e) o9 F( `' P' v
