韩国任何一个民族在面对外族入侵的时候，都有难以界定的复杂心情在里头，特别是战争后留下的踪迹，该保留还是该销毁，如何以理性的态度跟远见来处理，这都非常考验政府与人民的智慧。韩国国土海洋部举办竞赛，希望在此前曾是日本入侵殖民地和战后美国托管时期的军事基地上，建造一个与自然、文化、未来相和谐的公园。位于韩国首尔的龙山区，占地面积达243公顷的韩国Yongsan公园景观总体规划设计竞赛，以疗愈（healing）为出发点，疗愈自然生态、历史伤痕与韩国文化。 l: o1 t! ^. z: I( Y% S0 Z5 z

/ g Y/ c$ k$ |# L3 ~0 I在韩国文化中，朝鲜半岛被描述为“三千里锦绣河山”，人们在连绵不绝的美丽河山相遇，这是韩国人的集体记忆，所以我们不只是要修复Yongsan公园的军事遗迹，也要恢复想象中的韩国精神，视觉与生态上的地景风貌。计划中首先在Yongsan公园的中央开挖人工湖，创造出气势十足的地势，溪流，池塘，莲花盆地，引领你进入诗情画意的自然林地和草皮围绕的湖水。

! y4 _- y K; w9 i此外，Yongsan公园的地理位置，本就满载极端动荡不安的战争与殖民史，但即使记忆是悲伤的，这依然是韩国历史的一部分，与其遮掩黑暗的一面，将堪用的建筑跟道路恢复原貌并在已经毁坏的建筑物遗址上盖新的建筑Yongsan公园预计在美军疏散后开始建造，期盼这个公园将带动新的城市文化，保护绿色空间，恢复自然的生态，并展望可持续的未来。

In Korean culture, the Korean peninsula is described with the phrase "Sam Cheon Li Geum Su Gang San"; which means ‘1,200 km of mountain and river linked all together is embroidered in gold’. This has been the way Korean people see, meet, and interact with beautiful mountains and rivers. It is part of the collective perception towards the physical world. - A& ]! P$ Y P# ~7 t, _3 Y' p4 h
It describes the Korean mental DNA. As such, we not only recover the forgotten landscape in the military base but also recover the illusion of Korean landscape mentally, visually and ecologically. This central part of the site will be excavated for a lake. " i: i. u0 Y8 B& p( o' Q+ U r
The spoils will be used to create a more dramatic topography, to build an illusion of naturalistic Korean landscape. From this topography a new restructured water system with streams, ponds, marchland and lotus basins will be introduced. Natural woodland and undulating meadows will be organized around the lake.9 Y/ R1 c v7 x
